As an award-winning Actor/Writer/Director Michael has inspired generations around the world with his love for Sicily and the Italian culture. His passionate film’s have been shown all over the world as a tool to awaken and promote the positive portrayal of the Sicilian and Italian-American culture.
Michael has been chosen to speak at events internationally and here in America at Universities, Cultural Institution’s and High schools. Using his award-winning Documentary “La Porta Dell’ Inferno” his aim is to raise awareness against the mistreatment of children not only in Sicily but around the world. His film examines the abuse and suffering of the young boys (Carusi) in Sicily in the 1940’s making a direct correlation and connection to what is still happening today in impoverished countries because of the socio-economic conditions.
